Introducing a new and greener way to enjoy Ocean Club Resorts
One of our main principles here at Ocean Club Resorts remains looking for new and innovative ways to integrate eco-forward initiatives into our daily processes. The clear turquoise waters, pristine landscape of Grace Bay Beach, each open-air setting of both Ocean Club and Ocean Club West, and the overall island of Providenciales are important to maintain for generations to come to enjoy. It is with this key principle in mind that we are thrilled to announce our latest effort in sustainability comes by way of partnering with Wayaj to deploy a carbon footprint calculator. Our guests are now able to calculate and offset their eco-influence ahead of their time spent at either of the Ocean Club Resorts properties.
Part of a program titled Travel with IMPPACT™, the Carbon Footprint Calculating Engine works as a sustainable actions module that lives here on a separate landing page as part of our new website. Travelers to our resorts now have the opportunity to accurately calculate the carbon generated from their trip and then offset that through verified projects. These actionable offsets include beach clean-ups, coral reef and marine life protection, education on eco-friendly practices, and more. You simply add in the party size, length of visit, and choose to calculate hotel stay alone or to include transportation. From there, a selection of current projects will appear should you decide to offset a portion of your upcoming stay. Our team is currently looking for ways to implement similar projects within the destination for guests to volunteer at or provide a monetary donation as an actionable offset.
Having been the first resorts within Turks & Caicos to achieve Green Globe Certification, the carbon footprint calculator is our latest step towards furthering our commitment to sustainability. We are pleased to continue to share our eco-forward practices with guests while ensuring that the same great experience we have become known for is elevated by implementing these greener initiatives.
