The only thing better than embarking on a picturesque vacation is knowing that you are simultaneously taking measures to preserve the beautiful Caribbean setting. Perfectly situated along the stunning Grace Bay Beach in Turks & Caicos, Ocean Club Resorts recognizes the key role resorts play in creating an eco-friendlier environment and how this adds to the overall guest experience.
Starting with being the first resorts in Turks & Caicos to achieve a Green Globe Certification, Ocean Club Resorts is taking strides to preserve this idyllic setting. A few of our initiatives have included providing reusable shopping bags in each suite, the use of paper straws and LED lighting, and encouraging guests in each suite to reduce water and energy use waste during their stay. By purchasing eco-friendly products, partnering with like-minded vendors, and making sound eco-operation decisions while continuing to provide a high level of service for guests, Ocean Club Resorts is working towards becoming a more sustainable option for stays.
Our newest effort in generating eco-friendlier accommodations comes in the form of a partnership with Wayaj, a leading provider of solutions that reduce environmental impact within the hospitality industry. The carbon footprint calculator designed by Wayaj now lives as an extension on the Ocean Club Resorts website. Travelers to the resorts now have the opportunity to accurately calculate the carbon generated from their trip and then offset that through verified projects. These actionable offsets include beach clean-ups, coral reef and marine life protection, education on eco-friendly practices, donations to similar initiatives, and more.
From the lush landscape of each resort to our signature pink umbrellas providing the perfect viewpoint of the crystal-clear ocean to creating junior admirers of the natural setting through the self-guided Seafari program, a stay at Ocean Club Resorts weaves taking in the breathtaking surroundings throughout stays. Guests are encouraged to further explore what makes Turks & Caicos so special by partaking in a short boat ride off the shore to survey the third largest coral reef system, spot schools of fish in one of the complimentary kayak or paddleboard rentals or take a leisurely bike ride around the island of Providenciales to enjoy more of the flora, fauna, and more.
Without taking the necessary measures to protect the natural charm of the destination, travel experiences will not be the same. Ocean Club Resorts are committed to taking steps towards sustainability and protecting the pristine landscape for guests to continue to enjoy.
